Ecoener will make the leap to Romania with the construction of a wind farm 54,4 MW in the municipality of Miroslovesti, in the northeast of the country. The project involves an investment of 85 millones de euros and will be developed under a contract for difference (CfD) with a validity of 15 years.
The company has been the only Spanish contractor in the auction sponsored by the Romanian Ministry of Energy, where it obtained the 5% of wind power granted. The tender is part of a public program designed to accelerate the incorporation of renewables into the country's electricity system.
Project features
The park will be located in Miroslovesti and will be equipped with eight turbines last generationThe company estimates an annual production of around 166GWh, which will contribute to the decarbonization of the Romanian electricity mix.
- Installed potency: 54,4 MW.
- Planned investment: 85 million.
- Location: Miroslovesti (northeast Romania).
- Estimated production: 166 GWh/year.
- Start up: late 2027.
The scheme of CFD assigned guarantees a reference price for the energy generated during 15 years, which provides regulatory stability and income predictability for the exploitation of the asset.
According to the communicated schedule, construction works will begin COMING SOON, with the aim of bringing the facility into commercial operation 2027 late, if the planned technical and administrative milestones are met.

Regulatory framework and auction
The award is integrated into the second tender organized by the Ministry of Energy of Romania within a program of 3.000 millones de euros aimed at accelerating the country's energy transition.
The Romanian Government, with the support of the European Union Modernization Fund, aims to incorporate up to 5 GW of new renewable capacity through CfD contracts, which facilitate financing by reducing exposure to price volatility in the electricity market.
In this context, the award to Ecoener of a 5% fee of the wind power tendered strengthens the presence of international companies in Romanian renewable development and adds competition to the deployment of wind technology.
Ecoener's strategy and positioning
For the company, the development in Miroslovesti means its first asset in the European Union outside of Spain, a key step that fits with its roadmap for geographic diversification and the consolidation of its activity in European markets with high renewable potential.
Ecoener has more than 1 GW of projects under development in countries such as Greece, Poland, Italy and Romania, a portfolio that can benefit from stable frameworks such as the Romanian one and that positions the company to scale its presence in the region.
Calendar and next steps
The company plans to start construction work in the short term, with a target date of entry into operation at 2027 lateDuring this period, the supply, wind turbine assembly, and pre-commercial operation testing phases will be completed.
With 54,4 MW of power, eight wind turbines, a planned production of 166GWh annual and an investment of 85 million, the Miroslovesti wind farm is emerging as a relevant piece for Romania's renewable drive and a strategic move in Ecoener's European expansion under a 15-year CfD.
