The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has granted 2.329.400 euros in incentives for two photovoltaic solar energy projects located in the province of Ciudad Real , as part of the Renoinn program of the Recovery Plan financed with NextGenerationEU.
The actions, aimed at promoting electrification with clean sources, will be carried out in Piedrabuena and Puebla del Príncipe , with the objective of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and energy imports, promoting self-consumption and distributed storage.
Details of the facilities in the province
The largest investment is being carried out in Piedrabuena , with a total budget of €5.110.838 and a subsidy of €1.834.400 . The plant will have 5.050 kW of installed capacity and a 4.810 kWh storage system , designed to provide stability and manage solar generation.
In Puebla del Príncipe , the project involves an investment of €2.285.000 and will receive a grant of €495.000 . This facility incorporates 1.437,48 kW of power and 4.950 kWh of batteries, reinforcing the integration of renewables into the local grid.
According to the ministry, both initiatives will contribute to increasing the province's renewable energy capacity and advancing the electrification of processes with clean energy. The implementation of these projects will help reduce emissions and improve security of supply, generating economic and employment benefits for the surrounding area.
These plants will not only produce solar electricity, but will also boost the local economy . It is estimated that they will prevent approximately 5.800 tons of CO₂ emissions annually , a volume comparable to taking 2.650 cars off the road, according to the reported figures.
