Ecological fair in Navarra

On the occasion of its tenth edition, the Navarra Ecological Fair returns to the Parque de los Sentidos in Noáin as a meeting point for the organic sector in the Autonomous Community. At this event, direct sales and contact with those who produce They are combined with talks, tastings, family activities and music.

The official presentation has brought together José Mª Aierdi, Luis Maya and María José Arrondo, representatives of the Government of Navarre, the Elorz Valley and CPAEN/NNPEK. The minister has highlighted the commitment to a model that integrates environmental, economic and social sustainability in the ecological production, backed with about 4 million euros in aid every year.

Ecological event in Navarra

The meeting is held September 12st – 14th in Noáin (Elorz Valley), with 40 stalls dedicated to food and certified personal care products. The fair features various areas to offer a comfortable and varied experience to the public.

  • Friday 12: from 17:00 to 21:00
  • Saturday 13: 11:00 AM to 21:00 PM (market closed from 14:30 PM to 17:00 PM)
  • Sunday 14th: from 11:00 to 14:30

The proposal is articulated in several spaces: the Market (40 positions), the Gastrozone managed by Geltoki with tastings and samplings throughout the weekend, the Txikiekozona for children and the area of Jardín Japonés, which hosts special workshops and tastings.

Among the tastings, the following stand out:three-handed tastings”: on Friday with wine from Bodega Mendiko, cheese from Axuribeltz and oil from Navarrsotillo; and on Saturday with dairy products from Aspace, jams from Gukalde and bread and pastries from Lakabeko Okindegia. On Saturday afternoon, REAS enlivens a Critical Consumption Workshop in the Lorenea area.

In addition, there will be guided tours to the Park of the Senses and well-being in a family key with yoga with organic breakfast. Purchases at the market give access to a drawing for 8 batches of organic food, with two additional lots through social networks.

Talks and news: "Another World is Now Possible"

The main novelty of this edition is the space “Another World is Now Possible”, with renowned figures from the fields of ecology and health. Participating are physician Karmelo Bizkarra with the talk "Food-art to transform your world"; naturalist and writer Joaquin Araujo, who will talk about “Cultivating Encounters” and sign copies of his book “Tterra”; and professor Nicolas Olea, with an exhibition on chemical contaminants in food production.

Music and atmosphere

The cultural component includes performances throughout the three days: Red Earth Friday afternoon; Children of the Swamp Saturday morning; LiberTrio Saturday afternoon; and The Arrow on Sunday morning. On Friday there will also be a tribute to ecology with saxophone in the lake area.

Those who come will find a wide selection of cheeses, wines, honeys, oils, breads, legumes, preserves, coffees, pastries, ecological cosmetics and seasonal vegetables, among others.

The City Council of the Elorz Valley highlights that the Park of the Senses has established itself as an ideal venue for this type of event.
